We work to change the lives of those who need it most.
Learn MoreAbout Us
Woodside Meals on Wheels is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to addressing the nutritional and social needs of homebound elderly citizens in Lower Bucks County, PA. Since we began delivering meals in 1975, we have provided over 500,000 meals to our neighbors.
Our meals are prepared by our partner, Pennswood Village, a continuing care retirement community in Newtown, PA. Every weekday from Monday through Friday, a team of dedicated volunteers comes together to deliver over seventy meals to clients. Our meals are delivered hot between 10:45am and 1:00pm. We pride ourselves in getting to know our clients and in making their days a little brighter by delivering a meal, a smile and a short visit. For our caring volunteers, having the opportunity to meet our clients and form relationships with them is the most gratifying part of serving with our organization. For clients’ families, it is comforting to know that a caring volunteer checks on their loved one each day.

See How We've Grown
Woodside Meals on Wheels was founded by a small group of women from Woodside Presbyterian Church who were seeking a way to help their community. In September, 1975, the organization created by-laws and incorporation documents and were granted non-profit status. We began our operation back then by serving two meals in Morrisville.
Now, more than 40 years later, Woodside Meals on Wheels serves more than 70 clients each day on eight different routes – Morrisville, Yardley, Newtown Borough, Newtown, Langhorne/Penndel, Richboro/Holland, Southampton and an overflow route.
